Icon of the "Unexpected Joy". Painted on a wooden panel, with two fixing bars at its upper and lower edges. The icon shows a sinner, kneeling, in front of the icon of the Mother of God reciting the words of the angelic salutation of Gabriel to Mary, and Mother of Gosd's answer. The man remained praying a long time and he was granted forgiveness and unexpected joy of repentance and salvation. Under the icon, there is a plaque with the words of Bishop Demetrius of Rostov, who wrote the sinner's story. Made in the 2nd half of the 19th century, in Russian territory.
